I accidentally ran 100 miles in November 2013.  it was hard.  I threw up a lot.  decided to do a better job next time

Short-Term Running Goals:

2016 goals:

Find a way to train enough to run an okay marathon.  It's just me and my two little girls 24-7 so this will be tricky.  I have to use my sitters so I can go to work so my offtime is me n kiddos.  No help. But I'm optimistic.

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

 

Sub 3 hour marathon--SOMEDAY!  Done!

 

New long term goal:  pr in any distance before 40

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personal:

I'm a single Mom with two daughters.  One is 8 and one is a surprise baby- knocked up at 37 years old.  I'm not known for good decisions when it comes to men, but I do okay everywhere else.  I roam the streets all day long in an ambulance for a living.  I love with all my heart. I hurt with all my heart. I am forever loyal to friends and family.  I have no secrets, for those burdens are released.  I make giant mistakes. I live life 100%, with passion, and will never regret the risks or the failures, for it only makes the bright spots sweeter.  Intelligent conversation and hugs are the sweetest of gifts I could ever receive from friends.  My children are my sweetest gifts from God.  If you are more vulnerable than me I will always stand up for you, always, because I know what it is like to be weak.  But better yet, I have learned what it is like to strong, to be new.  There is no hopeless cause, no insurmountable obstacle.

Stuck on the treadmill at the Y with Val in kidzone.  My headphones died at 15 minutes in so I was pretty bored. Did speedwork because I am always bored on the treadmill and it helps to push buttons and make whatever up as I go along.  Michael was doing his own thing on the treadmill next to me so it helped we were both suffering.  

Warmed up 5 minutes, then 2 x 90 seconds on/off 6:18 pace, 4 x 60 seconds on/off from 5:52 to 5:46 pace, 2x90 seconds again at 6:18 pace, jogged a few minutes, 8 minutes at 6:40 pace, jogged a few minutes then finished the last half mile at 6:58 pace because Michael was done and the kids were done with kidzone and ready to go swimming.  Any week I can string together 40 miles somewhere in the sleepless madness I call my life is a good one so I'll call this week a success.

strolled out at 330 at post 6 to start my laps.  by lap 10 there were lots of sirens in the area. by lap 12 cops everywhere and I had to stop while they chased their fugitive that ditched the car he stole into the field.  then they staked out the place the rest of the night searching for him.  why did he have to bail in my running area???  In couldn't finish my run so I settled for opening the garage and standing in the light by my ambulance with my arms folded looking disgruntled.

20 post 6 loops at 0315, haven't slept since my run yesterday morning.  it is the "endless day" part of my weekly cycle.

treadmill at the Y.  got bored by mile 4 and did 2 x 400 at 6:35 pace and closed with a 6:53 mile.  work the next 2 nights

Treadmill at the Y.  I only had 40 minutes so decided to maximize it considering I felt pretty decent with a day off and 9 solid hours of sleep under my belt.  Warmed up one mile slow then 4 miles 6:58 pace then cool down to 40 minutes.  All on zero incline in an air-conditioned gym.

That was pretty much terrible.  Ran after I got off work.  Was dead-legged from the beginning, then the blisters on my toes from hand foot mouth got raw and raised up again.  Then, at mile 12 my gut cramped with that need to poo....so I wrapped it up at 14.  I'm not 100% back from illness yet I don't think.   Nothing but slow miles for me until my body gives the signal it's ready for more.
