Running Accomplishments:

I started running in August of 2008 to quite smoking.  It worked.  At the end of March 2011 I was diagnosed with bilateral tibial stress fractures and didn't run for 5 weeks, then started a slow comeback.   Since then I've learned to train smarter from this blog, Sasha, and other great friends on FRB, and have started getting some big PR's.  I'm excited for the future!

10K pr 41:43 May 8 2010(need to run a 10k and update this!)

5K pr 19:23 September 2011

1/2 marathon 1:29:26 August 2011, post stress-fracture--there is hope!  Actually I think my second half at Saint George was my real PR.

marathon 2:59:49 Saint George October 2011!

10 mile pr 1:09:54 November 2010 --need to update this too

 



Short-Term Running Goals:

2011 Goals:

May:  Begin rebuilding mileage base--done

June:  Continue with base and get some hills involved--done

July 9:  Psycho Wycho 50K--first ultra--finish and have a good time!  didn't run it

August:  Run for your Momma half marathon--PR despite heat and hills!  DONE

September--run 5K's to break up the marathon training--ran one...

October:  PR at Saint George Marathon! YES

November-December: dunno yet

Do all of the above without getting injured--so far, so good

2012 goals:

sub-19 5k

sub-39 10k

get under 3 again in the marathon

1:25 half marathon

get to 104 pounds and stay there(this is a good lean yet healthy weight for me at 5'1")

Frosty 5k. Topeka to Auburn half marathon January 2012

Livestrong Austin half marathon February 2011(have even tossed around running the full...)

March/April/May--spring marathon.  don't know...Contenders:  Eugene, Eisenhower, Oklahoma City..any ideas?  What should be my next marathon??



Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 3 hour marathon--SOMEDAY!  DONE

New long term goal:  sub 2:55

Spend the next 4 years exploring and evaluating to see if 2:46 is even physically possible for me, and if it is, do it.




Personal:

I'm an RN and a paramedic.  I work both jobs, and love them both.  I work in home health as an RN and on the streets as a medic, because the clinical setting just isn't for me.  I love being out and about taking care of my peeps!
