Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

55 minutes on the elliptical with the 5 am crowd again.  I kept it easy--heart rate hovering around 140.  Then I tried walking on the treadmill.  Denied.  Still limpy, but not much pain.  Off to another day of nursing school--today we are doing skills checkoffs so it should be pretty easy since most of this is stuff we have done before--iv's blah blah blah.  I am not as overwhelmed as I thought I would be.

g' job! Hows the 5 o clock crowd doing?

From Camille on Wed, Jan 14, 2009 at 09:06:17

I'm so sad that your still limpy. :o( I've only ever used the elliptical machine once, so I'm far from an expert. Does it not hurt? It looks to me like an elliptical machine would put just as much stress on your feet/legs as running.

Good luck with nursing school today. Try to not get too bored with the checkoffs

Walter--the 5 am crowd did not enjoy the odors from last night's beans. I don't think I made any friends! (a little embarassing)

Camille--impact and push-off is what hurts, the elliptical has no impact so I am okay--sometimes it tugs on the tendon but it doesn't hurt

Eric and Marion--thanks for the encouragement, the improvement is coming but I am hopeful for Saturday or Sunday--I got better throughout the day today walking around at school!

April - that was TOO much information. You crack me up! :o)

Walter - you didn't know what TMI meant? Hilarious. Learn new things every day
