Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

Muscle soreness is much improved today.  Rode 6.25 on the bicycle, then ran, er, shuffled 3.29.  The first mile was terribly jerky and awkward, like my body forgot how to run.  Splits 9:38, 9:17, 9:34, .29 at 9:13 pace.  Then I walked for half a mile to cool down.  Left hamstring is super tight, came home and stretched it out really good.  I am now on antibiotics for my toe and am waiting for an appointment with the podiatrist to remove the nail and all the hypertrophic tissue--probably will be a few months.  Back to the grind today.  A long day at work and then an early a.m. clinical tomorrow morning.  Poor Vanessa is sick again and having breathing problems.  We were up a few times last night for breathing treatments.  I hate it when she has a hard time breathing.  I am afraid to sleep because I feel like I need to watch her constantly.

I went through the same thing with my oldest--he has asthma. I was hoping mine would outgrow it because they say that is common, but he's 5 and dr. said he probably won't. We have things pretty well under control now, though, but there were frequent hospital trips when he was little.

Has she been assessed for any chronic respiratory illness or allergies?

They call it "reactive airway disease"--won't officially call it asthma until she is older. My youngest son Ian who is 7 now had the same problem. He has seemed to outgrow it though because we haven't had problems for a few years. I hope she is the same way. We made lots of ER trips with Ian and so far with Vanessa we have made 3.

Infected? Darn. Make sure you take a probiotic along with the antibiotics :D> My guess though is that the blister keeps filling with fluid. It will take a good week for all the fluid to dissipate. Which toe is it? Can you go in from the sides just beside the nail to release more fluid? Hope the best.

ohh hey that is a good idea. I can gross Burt out some more with stories about all the holes I make in my toe.
