Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

am. 6 at 8:15 AP on dirt roads.  Legs actually didn't feel too bad from last night.

pm 5.05 7:44 AP in Derby.  It is hard to slow down when it rolls up and down so much because my tendency is to push uphills and let it fly on downhills.

Nice job already today! You are incredible. I do not know how you do it, really. I am struggling to stay motivated and have energy and some semblance of a life with my little part time job and 5 kids. You now have two jobs, still run, and have the energy to take care of your family! YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION!!!!

Wall-E is an odd movie. The humans were nuts, can you even imagine? It was more than disturbing! My husband and I were thinking, "Could this really happen?" And we decided it could.

I've read your blog a hundred times and today was the first time I noticed the dirt on your legs in your photo. I've decided that because of the dirt you are exponentially cooler than I previously thought you were (and I already thought you were cool).

Wall-E = one of my favorite Disney movies. Lots of people don't like it, they think it is slow. I think it is brilliant.

She is cool, for sure.

Do not get me wrong, I liked the movie (we own it), but it is ODD and a little freaky.

where are you going with this Burt? APRIL you are doing great girl!! Glad you got out there in the early hours and legs are holding up after an awesome workout yesterday. It helps when you get cryotherapy WHILE running : D don't you think? warm front coming however.

Kelli--I think it could happen too. It is kinda scary.

jun--I like the mud--I picked up a lot of it while biting the dust on the trail and earning a deep respect for trail runners!

Burt--?

Julie--looks like it will warm up a bit this weekend, which is good, because it will make racing a little easier, unless my friend the wind picks up!

Got a race this weekend?

From seeaprilrun on Thu, Dec 02, 2010 at 08:26:57 from 72.205.224.181

Joe--yeah, a 4 mile race
