Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:32 AP.  16 mile progressive run.  Evidently a large thanksgiving dinner with a lot of pie is my optimal day-before-long-run fueling strategy, because I felt great.  Didn't look at my watch, no drink or fuel stops--just ran.  I was definitely working at the end but felt strong. Wow April, what a great run.

Although I consider that 16 miles without drinks is to much, I can hurt your kidneys (I can tell you a lot about them).

Just be careful.

Great googly-moogly! Nice ding-dong-diddly run. Sorry guess the profanity is contagious.

Anyway, that is a great finish and I bet a good confidence-builder. Damn fast too.

Y'all are a bunch of flippin' sailors! The night before my next marathon I am going to eat turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and 2 pieces of pie, and wash it down with a Bud Light. I have finally discovered the ultimate fueling strategy!
