Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:09 average pace.  Had a hard time falling asleep last night and decided to take the extra hour rather than run in the morning.  Worked out well because we were released from clinicals early so I decided to drive home rather than stay the night.  Drove to my mother's house to pick up my daughter, who was napping, so I went on a run on the city sidewalks in Wichita.  Ran through some nice neighborhooods.  It was drizzly and humid, but only about 78 degrees.  I don't much care for running on concrete, it is too much pounding, but it does make for a faster pace with less effort.  I will stick to my soft dirt roads tomorrow evening when I make it back into town.  Got to spend all day in NICU and actually really enjoyed my clinical in there today.  Cuddling and feeding tiny babies all day is fine with me!  Gotta get to bed soon cuz tomorrow is another 4am morning.

I almost always run on sidewalk. You get used to it.

We spent some time in the NICU with our youngest. She was one of the bigger babies in there.

April, got up early and forgot I hadn't read your reports for the week since my last entry on your blog. Excuse me but that was a fast 10 miler and AFTER clinical in the afternoon. That is awesome. It pays to train on trails. Oh and all day feeding babies in the NICU, it is such a wonderful life!!! I worked in NICU for 16 years now I am at the same corporation different hospital (one mile from my house) working in their level two nurseries, so helping little ones learn to eat is my niche in life. I love it. Of course there on those more critical days but not like in the NICU I was at 11 miles away. By the way I woke at 3am with wicked stomach cramps and nausea. My girlfriend had it yesterday, the one that should be speedy quick at the race. I went back to bed but woke in the same demise. I want to lose my cookies? Maybe it is from my heat run. I hope. I feel gross. No worries probably a 24 hour thingy and I can force myself to do anything. Ran 16 weeks pregnant a half marathon throwing up all night the night before and even had to go to instacare. It was a dreadfully slow 1/2 (2:06) but I survived as did my current 8 year old. I am sure you wanted to hear all that. I am rambling, it keeps my mind off my current condition. Blahhh!!! Will remain positive : D So there is a smiley face to prove it.
