Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:57 average pace.  Tried putting my shirt in cold water before the run and it really helped!  Thanks for the suggestion Julie--the first half of my run was much more bearable in the heat!  Actually felt good running for the first time all week so did a Sasha mile in 6:42 from mile 7 to 8.  The rest of mile miles were very easy.  Getting ready to gorge on some breakfast and then maybe some abs before work.

That's a good idea. I'm going to have to try it!

You've been getting in some quality mileage! Do you have your next 5K lined up?

Tracy--no races in the immediate future because work and school have me booked for the month of July--I may try to squeeze in a local 4 mile race that is very close on the 4th of July but haven't decided yet since I will be running after a 12 hour night shift.

Eric--thanks!

I am so glad it worked for you. I would do this at football games here in August. The stadium burned us up like eggs on a frying pan, I couldn't take it so I went in the women's bathroom and took off my dark blue (bad color for heat) BYU football shirt and drowned it in the sink. It was such dry heat I had to do this twice at one game!!! But oh how refreshing!!! And now that I work nights and run afternoons and temps have finally reached 90s I will be all over it..cold water that is. Great run for you April, sasha mile : D
