Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:58 average pace.  Took it nice and easy.  Legs feel fresh and good.  Will probably only do 4 miles tomorrow with race pace bursts and then go pedal to the metal Saturday.  I can't wait!

You are AMAZING April! I can't wait for your race report! I want to be you!!! :) How is school?

School is okay. Getting ready to juggle clinicals again next week. I don't like the time away from my family :(

That would be difficult to juggle 5 kids and school (not to mention chemicals). How old are your children?

And again, awesome run. You'll rock on Saturday!

We have 5 kids--17,14,9,7,2. I inherited four and one is biological. I am mom to all of them(the biological mother of the 4 boys is deceased) and I love them very much. The two older ones are too busy with friends and activities so they don't mind me being gone much :P, but it is harder on my three youngest and also hard on my husband! (and me) It will be over in December... and then hopefully I can get a job where I only work 3 days a week and can spend lots of time with my family! (that's the plan anyway...)

You definitely have your hands full. You and I are roughly the same age and I can't imagine raising teenagers right now! Just dealing with them at school is enough for me :)

Sounds like an awesome blended family!

3 days a week sounds perfect. One of my friends just finished her nursing degree and that's what she does. She worked in a hospital for a while where she worked 4 days, but now she works in a school district. I wish I could teach 3 days a week, but I guess I'll have to settle for the equally awesome summers off.
