Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

9:12 average pace.  Miles 3 and 4 were under 9 minutes because in each mile I did an approximately 150 meter surge of race pace.  The pace felt okay but the heat really takes it out of me.  The heat will be a factor tomorrow--hopefully I can get past it.

Awesome mileage April!!! Yes I am awake at this ridiculous hour, I have been trying to fall asleep since 10pm. You know how doing a run of nights can make the off nights sleepless? I am going to try to get more rest in just a few but wanted to say GOOD LUCK. Oh just for fun I got last minute changes to my 5K per email today. Now the awesome downhill at the start is cut in half and turns and does a funky loop on itself and adds on a steep uphill, not sure what this will do to my goal today but will try as hard as possible. I think temps will be better for me than you. Was warm today 80- 85 but not til the afternoon. And I just noticed your weight, 105? You are tiny!!! I am yawning and tried eating to raise then crash my sugar level to help me sleep. So hoping you are sleeping well. ZZZZZZzzzzzz!!!! by the time you read this your race will be over :)0
