Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

Slept 5.5 hours after work then got up,  it was 85 degrees instead of the promised 80.  Did miles 13 and 14 in 6:48, 6:44, felt fatigued and didn't want to go into an overtraining hole so shut it down, then felt good again and ran mile16 in 6:48 then shut it down again.  Good enough long run, I've had enough good workouts this past week, off to finish this busy work weekend and hopefully catch up on sleep the next few days.

After work had to stay up and get my tough little gal to the Ortho, so anyway i only netted 3 hours of sleep.  7 very slow miles on the home mill was enough forthis weary body, although i always feel energized after a run.  Looking forward to a full nights sleep tonight!  I must brag on my daughter, other than when it first happened she has not cried, and when she broke it i just wrapped it in ice and took her in, this child has not had a single dose of pain medication ad has been playing happily and saying it doesnt hurt much and she is fine.

am:  5 pretty brisk at 6:41 AP while Vanessa was at her appointment, legs felt good.  Then I hit the gym for a great 70 minutes of core and weights.  Looking forward to a nap and then track tonight!

pm:  6. no track--after looking at my week's schedule, the only real reasonable time for a long run this week is tomorrow morning, so me and Mini went to the downtown Y and I ran a 6 mile shakeout.  I will touch base with speed when I am stuck on the treadmill this weekend

75 degrees.  70% humidity.  not terrible, but not great.  Ran 12 easy then 5 mile tempo 6:49, 6:35, 6:49, 6:33, 6:49, 1.1 mile cooldown.  The tempo did not feel as good as I was hoping for...might have helped if I had planned for some fluid or fuel during this run but I didn't, and it wasn't terrible.

pm:  5 mile shakeout by my work post.  legs actually felt fine, but I waxs hungry!

Nothing like a balmy 95 degrees for a recovery run.  Really though, as long as I am not trying to do tempo or speed, the heat does not seem to bother me much.  Rolled out of bed, parked at Vanessa's school, and trotted as many as I could before time was up and school was out.  I am stuck on the treadmill tomorrow and really need to touch base with speed, I was thinking of 800s...any suggestions?

Yasso-ish 800s on the treadmill.  I really needed this workout, I have been feeling very blah about my speed lately and so it was a bit of a confidence boost to have this workout feel so easy and not too stressful, and to be able to do it at faster paces and more reps than last time.  2 mile warm up, then 10 x 800 with 400 jogging recovery.  Recovery pace was 8:49.  6 reps at 5:52 pace, 2 reps at 5:49 pace, 1 at 5:46 and 1 at 5:42.  1.75 mile cooldown.
