Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

pm.  4.6 at 10:39 pace with my husband. I  never thought I would see this day!

Well, how did they feel while you were running?

From Rhett on Mon, Jan 03, 2011 at 11:42:43 from 74.41.249.102

Great run, make sure those calves are 100% before race day. How many more days till the big day. It's soon isn't it?

I have finally caught up on your blog--Great race last week! Did you win new shoes?

It's great to see that you have been steadily plugging away. I hope you inspire me to some motivation...

hi tracy.

april - same question as burt. i think you should run in whatever you are most comfortable in. have you gone a full 20 in your flats?

From seeaprilrun on Mon, Jan 03, 2011 at 20:19:57 from 72.205.226.14

My calves seem fine during the run--I could feel them a little at the end but nothing really significant. The next day when I get out of bed is when it hits me and I am mincing around.

oh my gosh, oh my gosh, OH MY GOSH! allie had the same question as me. So, if they feel all right during the run, maybe you should wear them and worry about recovering after the race. After all, aren't you only worried about racing? The less weight could be all the difference it takes to get you to the next level.

Nice to get a run in with your husband. I figured he woulda gotten sick of running from being forced to in the Army!

I agree with Burt, although that is nothing to get excited about. If anything it makes his opinion less valid.

Joe, don't be so hard on yourself.

April, YAHOO for your hubby joining you. HOPEFULLY it doesn't classify as the post on Lily's blog about New Year's Resolutions (there are some winded opinions). I think any improvement towards health improvement should be encouraged and praised. : D.
