Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

I don't mind rain, but lighting is a no-go, so my long run today was gonna have to be on the mill.  I settled on a Tinman Big Workout that involved lots of button pushing to get me through this.  I had came home after work and slept and then did this in the afternoon so I was actually rested and felt pretty awesome throughout the workout.

2 miles warmup

2 mile tempo 6:27, 6:27

1 mile easy

8 x 1200 with 400 recovery.  First 4 6:15 pace, second 4 at 6:11 pace

1 mile easy

2 mile tempo 6:27, 6:22

1.25 cooldown

Felt spectacular and had a little extra time before needing to hit the shower for work so did 40 minutes of upper body weights and abs.

Great workout. Lots of good speed!

Nice workout! At least all the "button pushing" kept you occupied so hopefully you didn't get bored.

Another awesome workout for you april. I like this combo with the tempo at the end after the speedwork. Definitely not easy to hit those paces on tired legs. You are killing it!

I would rather have my fingernails pried off than try this workout on a TM.

NICELY DONE!

Yowzers, that's a biggie! Nice job.

Well, that is quite a workout. The 1200s on their own would be pretty solid. Looks like a HMP/MP combo? I'd like to copy the format. Just not today :) or even the next several weeks
