Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:43 AP.  Tired, but I attempted the workout anyway.  3x1.5 at tempo pace.  I did it on the rolling dirt roads in the wind so my times don't rock, but I am learning to run by feel and listen to my body so I did the tempo effort.

two mile warm up 9:05, 9:02(obviously not feeling it today)

1.5 in 10:22 (6:54 pace)

.5 in 3:58

1.51 in 10:19(6:49 ace)

.5 in 4:03

1.51 in 10:28(6:55 pace)

I love your warm up pace. I seriously need to start out slow every time with two 9s or one 9 and one just under and then I am revved up. If I go with Mel and Kim they are off at a sub8 pace. I am not sure the difference and why I need the two miles and they don't. Glad to see you sometimes go slow from the start : D. Good job on your tempos too!! I should try that one. It doesn't look as daunting as a 5 mile tempo.

Happy Birthday!

Nice job getting the workout anyway. Most of the time I just quit and run easy if conditions aren't good or I feel slow. Your way is probably better.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. This is my fourth 29th birthday.

Julie--I am a gal that really must warm up! If I start off too fast I just don't get the quality in later, it wears me out. If I ease into things all is well. Too bad we don't live closer together we would be really good running partners!
