Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:06 average pace.  Felt really easy today although I am tired.  Ran mile 7 in 6:43 as a practice race-pace mile for Saturday.  I felt tired but strong.  My goal Saturday is to run 10 consecutive sub-7 minute miles.  I really hope I can do it because I would like tangible proof that all this mileage really is doing something with my fitness.  I seem to quickly run out of stamina over distances longer than 10k so a fast 10 miles would be a good progression.

Depending on the course I would start off at 7:15 pace and work down to a 6:45. Don't go out too fast. Be the passer not the passed : DDDDDD PS sending some rabbits.

Perhaps I am being foolish but after going back and looking at my PR races I seem to end up with better times if I go out a little on the fast side. I think for this race I am going to go out at whatever my pace feels like a nice groove for my legs and then just hang on, even if it seems a little too fast. The course is relatively flat so there is no need to conserve. If I blow up before 10 miles and have to slow down then at least I will have an honest gauge of my fitness level right now.
