Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:27 average pace.  Got some new snow last night--so ran on a blanket of snow in the white fog.  It was overcast and misty white everywhere but quite still and not terribly cold.  I was toasty and sweating buckets by the end.  I actually had good traction on the snow and stayed out of the icy tire tracks.  My mysterious Golden Retriever friend made an appearance at mile 1 and accompanied me throughout my run.  He looks well fed so surely he belongs to someone, I just don't know who.  Anyways, he is always a welcome sight.

How funny. How often do you see him?

This is the third time in a month. He just appears out of the forested area next to the road somewhere in the first mile of the run. Other than that I don't see him around the area so I have no idea who he belongs too! I like running with him because he distracts all the other aggressive dogs and they leave me alone.

And all I get is an attack dog running after me with his owner yelling out to him. Thank goodness or I would have been bitten. Nice to have a friendly partner. I did see some dogs on leashes that would have been happier running with me then walking with their owners. :D. Please inform me that your pace was not on 8 inches of snow? I could not get any traction at all today in the blanket of snow that kept fallin'.

Oh no more like two inches of snow over top of the icy stuff!

Glad you have some friendly company on your runs!

I still can't believe that he runs with you the whole way! That is so cool!
